At Callide Power Station in QLD, during late 2022 and early 2023, Lampson were involved in the removal of an old Transformer and Generator plus the installation of the new units.
The Generator turnaround involved Jacking, Skating and a Manitowoc 2250 Max-er. Lampson Towers allowed the Jacks to travel out of the building where the M2250 Max-er could attach rigging to remove and also install the new unit.
The transformer was removed and replaced using jack and skid and placed onto Self Propelled Modular Trailer or SPMT for transport to telescopic jacks to unload and disassembly away from the operating area.
